Who is Behind Midway?

This is me, Matthieu Guyonnet-Duluc. I immigrated to Canada from France more than 15 years ago. The idea for Midway came when I realized that it was difficult to find a destination where my best friend and I can easily meet. It was a time-consuming task filled with a lot of trials and errors. Navigating flight schedules, prices and cumbersome websites.

Traditional travel apps are there to sell you airline tickets, so they make the assumption that you already have the destination and the dates in mind. There are also tools that help you organize group travel (sharing expenses, build an itinerary, etc) but they also don't help you find where to go in the first place.

Give Midway a try and don't hesitate to contact me if there's something not working, you don't understand or simply to say hello :)

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Midway work?

Enter two or more departure cities, and Midway will find common destinations that have direct flights from all of them.

Can I search from more than 2 cities?

Yes! You can add up to 6 departure cities — perfect for company retreats, family reunions, or group trips where people are flying in from different locations. Just click "+ Add departure city" in the search form.

Is it free to use?

Yes, Midway is completely free to use for finding common destinations. We earn money through affiliate commissions when you book flights through our partner links.

Do you book flights?

We don't book flights ourselves. Once you've found a destination, click "See flights" next to any departure airport and we'll send you to Kayak with that route pre-filled — direct flights only, on the Kayak version for your country.

Which airports are supported?

Midway works with virtually any airport in the world. We have flight data ready for around 600 major airports, and if yours isn't in that list, we'll fetch it on the spot the first time you search from it.

What features are coming next?
